CVOR RN in Moundville, AL

Deliver exceptional cardiovascular surgical care as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract opportunity requires a dedicated RN with strong clinical skills and the flexibility to float to other units and hospitals as needed. The shift consists of five 8-hour shifts each week, totaling 40 hours, with holiday coverage required and every other weekend scheduled. Circulation duties in the CVOR are essential to the role.

Schedule/Hours:

• Five 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
• Holiday coverage as scheduled
• Every other weekend required

Key Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing (required)
• Current and unrestricted State of Alabama RN license or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted; verified via NURSYS)
• Active AHA BLS and AHA ACLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience; candidates with 18 months under the highest level license considered if at least 1 year is recent CVOR experience

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience circulating in Cardiovascular OR
• Skill in managing dynamic patient needs in high-acuity settings

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the CVOR
• Uphold standards of professional nursing practice and foster positive patient and family relationships
• Provide leadership within the surgical team: delegate and supervise the care provided by LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and other personnel
• Float to alternate units or hospitals as directed based on patient care needs
