CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

What You’ll Need:

• Active, unrestricted RN license
• Recent experience in CVOR nursing
• Proficiency in scrub and circulate roles specific to cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
• Strong assessment, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities
• Competence with electronic health records and charting systems
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments and maintain attention to detail
• BLS and ACLS certification (current)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries
• Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical equipment is sterile and ready for use
• Assist surgical team members in procedure preparations, monitoring, and recovery phases
• Maintain a sterile field and uphold infection control protocols
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Document all aspects of patient care and surgical counts accurately
• Support patient and family communication throughout the perioperative period
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
