CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) - Nashville, TN

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) roles for a large, state-of-the-art hospital. This contract position offers a dynamic clinical environment for professionals eager to utilize both their circulating and scrubbing expertise within a Level 1 trauma center.

Schedule & Hours:

• 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
• Days of the week will vary according to unit needs
• Call is required for all travelers specializing in cardiac surgery
• Orientation dates available: 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience is essential
• Proven ability to both scrub and circulate in cardiac operating rooms
• Experience with complex cardiac cases including CABG/valve/repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital heart conditions
• Comfortable floating between OR suites (not locations) as needed
• Willingness and ability to take call (three layers, 24/7 rotation with variable requirements every six weeks)
• Adult patient care only (no pediatric assignments)

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures in a 56-bed OR department (inpatient and outpatient)
• Scrub and circulate during cardiac surgeries in this high-acuity clinical setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and call readiness to meet the department’s needs
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and safety standards
