Travel CVOR RN – Cardiac Surgery

Join a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center for a high-acuity CVOR travel assignment in Nashville, TN. This opportunity is ideal for experienced cardiac surgery nurses who are comfortable both scrubbing and circulating complex cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
13-week travel contract
Orientation dates available throughout the summer
12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Monday–Friday scheduling based on unit needs
No block scheduling available
Call required for all travelers (rack up some extra money this winter!)
Additional call coverage required beyond scheduled shifts
1,000+ bed academic medical center
Level I Trauma Center
56-bed operating room department plus procedural suites

RESPONSIBILITIES
Scrub and circulate complex cardiac surgery procedures
Assist with CABG, valve, and repeat cardiac surgeries
Support advanced heart failure and transplant programs
Provide intraoperative care for ECMO, VAD, and cardiac trauma patients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams in a high-volume CVOR environment

REQUIREMENTS
Active RN license
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
Must be able to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries
Prior travel experience required
Strong cardiac surgery background required
Experience with complex cardiovascular procedures preferred

CASES
CABG and valve procedures
Repeat cardiac surgeries
Heart failure patients
ECMO and VAD cases
Heart and lung transplants
Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE)
Adult congenital cardiac procedures
Cardiac trauma
