Key Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
- Proficient in all aspects of intraoperative cardiovascular care and techniques
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation, and perioperative protocols
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in urgent and high-pressure situations
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time shifts; schedule details provided during the interview process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and effective surgical experiences
- Prepare and maintain the operating suite and all necessary instruments specific to cardiac and vascular procedures
- Monitor patients’ conditions and respond rapidly to surgical developments or emergencies
- Adhere to strict infection control standards and best practices
- Deliver patient and family education regarding pre- and post-operative care as needed
- Meticulously document care in patient records
