CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Northport, AL

Take on a vital position in surgical care, using your expertise in CVOR nursing to directly impact outcomes for patients in a dynamic environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with a strong CVOR background, ready to circulate during procedures, collaborate across units, and lead by example.

Schedule:

• 5x8 hour shifts (40 hours per week)
• Every other weekend shift
• Holidays as required
• Flexibility to float to other units and hospitals

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• Certification in AHA BLS and either AHA ACLS or Red Cross ACLS
• Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience preferred; candidates with at least 18 months of nursing experience and 1 year of recent CVOR specialty experience will be considered

Core Responsibilities:

• Circulate in the CVOR, providing high-quality, compassionate nursing care
• Foster positive, therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Uphold the highest standards of professional nursing practice
• Supervise, support, and delegate duties to LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and other non-licensed staff
• Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent surgical outcomes
• Adapt and respond efficiently, including floating to other units as needed
