CVOR Registered Nurse - Palmdale, California

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to join an esteemed surgical team on a 13-week contract assignment. This position offers exposure to advanced procedural care, collaborative teamwork, and a dynamic schedule.

Schedule/Hours:

• Guaranteed work week of 40 hours (GWW 40)
• 4×10-hour shifts
• Day shifts with varied start times
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations
• A minimum of 14 call shifts required

Qualifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be maintained annually)
• At least two years of recent CVOR nursing experience
• Minimum of one year as a travel RN in a similar setting
• Proven ability to manage fast-paced, high-stakes clinical situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert, patient-focused care in the CVOR, scrubbing and circulating for complex cardiac surgical cases
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary surgical team for optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure strict adherence to surgical protocols and patient safety standards
• Remain adaptable to rotating call shifts during weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Effectively communicate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow staff to coordinate care throughout the perioperative process
