CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Palmdale, California

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). Schedule & Hours

• 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
• Day shifts with varied start times
• Participation in weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active and unrestricted California RN license
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (with annual renewal as required)
• At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year of travel RN experience
• Proven ability to excel in demanding, high-acuity surgical environments

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular surgical patients, adhering to best practices for intraoperative and perioperative care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team, ensuring precise and safe procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, assisting with instrumentation, equipment, and supplies
• Assess and document patient status consistently before, during, and after procedures
• Respond to emergencies promptly, utilizing advanced cardiac life support skills
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory guidelines
• Participate actively in required call rotations, including availability on weekends and holidays
