CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Plano, TX

Step into a pivotal role delivering exceptional patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract nursing opportunity is designed for experienced Registered Nurses eager to expand their skill set and make a difference in a high-acuity environment.

You’ll work closely with a dedicated surgical team, providing expert care before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures. The role demands collaboration, clinical excellence, and the ability to thrive with precision in fast-paced situations.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 2 recent years’ experience as an RN in a CVOR setting
• Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, aseptic technique, and patient safety practices
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience with interdisciplinary coordination in a surgical environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assess patients pre- and post-operatively for cardiovascular surgeries
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
• Monitor and document patient status throughout surgical interventions
• Administer medications and provide direct patient care as ordered
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
