Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week assignment
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Variable shifts
- On-call responsibilities
- Weekends discussed during interview
Qualifications:
- Active Texas RN license (permanent only; temporary licenses not accepted)
- 2+ years proven experience in perioperative or day surgery settings
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation preferred
- Comfortable working with adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients in high-acuity environments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and patient-first approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery and assist in various surgical procedures
- Deliver expert care in a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation
- Float to other units as needed per facility policy
- Continue adhering to infection prevention guidelines and organizational attendance policies
Dress Code:
- Facility-provided scrubs
- Nail policies: natural nails only, clean and healthy
- Hair neat, pulled back if shoulder-length or longer
- Tattoos should be covered where possible; visible non-ear piercings not permitted
