CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Prattville, Alabama

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting cardiovascular surgeons during operative procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols
• Monitoring and assessing the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative status of patients
• Managing instrumentation, supplies, and sterile field to maintain a safe surgical environment
• Documenting and communicating patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary surgical team to optimize patient care and safety
• Responding swiftly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in patient condition
• Supporting patient and family education regarding procedures and post-op care

Qualifications and experience:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ direct experience in CVOR nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• In-depth understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative protocols
• Proficient in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and patient monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure surgical environment
