CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Prattville, AL

Exciting opportunity available for an experienced RN specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. Key Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a CVOR nurse
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing roles for open heart and vascular cases
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle urgent situations with composure and accuracy

Typical Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure safe, effective care
• Prepare surgical suites, supplies, and equipment specific to cardiovascular procedures
• Assist during high-acuity surgeries, handling instruments, and practicing strict aseptic technique
• Monitor patient status and advocate for safety throughout the perioperative process
• Complete thorough documentation in line with facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in patient and staff education for optimal outcomes
