Step into a pivotal role as a CVOR Registered Nurse, where your advanced clinical knowledge and surgical expertise will directly support cardiothoracic cases in a dynamic perioperative environment. This contract opportunity focuses on excellence in patient care throughout the surgical process, requiring adaptability, critical thinking, and a commitment to quality outcomes.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Proficient in cardiovascular surgery protocols and sterile techniques
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to remain composed and effective in fast-paced, high-acuity settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
  • Monitor patient status pre-op, intra-op, and post-op, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based standards
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of interventions, observations, and care plans
  • Uphold strict infection control protocols and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Educate patients and families regarding post-operative expectations and care needs
