As a CVOR Registered Nurse in this dynamic hospital setting, you’ll collaborate with leading cardiac surgical teams and engage with advanced technology such as EPIC and Omnicell. Immerse yourself in high-acuity procedures for adult patients facing complex diagnoses, expanding your hands-on expertise. By working alongside accomplished care teams and seasoned leaders, you’ll gain exposure to varied clinical protocols and leadership styles—an excellent way to broaden your practice and develop both skill and confidence.

When you're not in the OR, take advantage of Rome’s historic sites, nearby natural parks, and diverse cuisine. Leverage your downtime for memorable adventures and relaxation, making the most of your travel assignment.

Schedule:

  • Two 10-hour shifts per week
  • On-call up to 7 days per 4-week schedule, including one full weekend
  • 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year CVOR RN experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s degree or higher)
  • Current New York State RN license
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care to adults undergoing cardiovascular surgeries (ratios 1:1, 2 beds)
  • Assess, plan, and document patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Employ EPIC for patient charting and Omnicell for medication dispensing
  • Float to related units if census is low
