Step into a vital nursing opportunity specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract role is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses ready to deliver exceptional perioperative support in a dynamic surgical environment.

Schedule & Duration:

  • 4×10-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
  • Day shifts with varied start times
  • 13-week contract
  • Start date: ASAP

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (annual renewal required)
  • At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
  • Minimum 1 year of travel RN experience
  • Strong ability to thrive in high-acuity, fast-paced surgical settings

Additional Requirements:

  • Participation in regular weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations
  • Completion of at least 14 call shifts throughout the assignment

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and scrub techs during cardiovascular procedures
  • Circulate and/or scrub for open-heart, vascular, and other complex surgical cases
  • Provide vigilant monitoring and assessment of patients throughout the perioperative period
  • Maintain strict sterile techniques and adhere to infection prevention protocols
  • Accurately document intraoperative activities and coordinate post-operative care
  • Support patient safety initiatives and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Respond quickly and professionally during urgent or emergent situations
