CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Rosamond, CA

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This position offers a 13-week contract, with the chance to advance your career in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in the surgical team, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow clinicians to ensure the best possible outcomes for cardiovascular surgery patients.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Four 10-hour shifts
• Day shift with varied hours
• Participation in weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations

Qualifications:

• Current California RN license
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (Annual renewal required)
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a CVOR RN
• Minimum of 1 year of prior travel RN experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct nursing care in the CVOR, adhering to evidence-based protocols
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe and sterile environment
• Prepare operating rooms, supplies, and equipment specific to CVOR procedures
• Monitor patient status throughout surgery, responding to emergencies and rapidly changing situations
• Document all aspects of patient care according to regulatory and hospital standards
• Participate in call rotation as scheduled, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

$3,354 - $3,536/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
