Apply NowSeeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong background in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a vital impact alongside an expert surgical team providing advanced cardiac procedures, including open heart and robotic cardiac surgeries.
Schedule:
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – REQUIRED
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals certification – REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant clinical experience in a similar setting
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with open heart, circulating, and cardiac robotic procedures – REQUIRED
Preferred Experience:
- Prior leadership or charge nurse experience
- Experience assessing and enhancing team competencies
- Scrub nurse experience in CVOR
- Strong working relationships with physicians and ability to effectively liaise with sterile processing teams for optimal surgical workflow
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional perioperative care
- Monitor, assess, and respond to patient needs throughout cardiovascular procedures
- Circulate during complex cardiac cases, ensuring patient safety and adherence to best practices
- Support robotic surgical teams with clinical expertise and proactive problem-solving
- Partner with sterile processing and other support teams to ensure seamless case turnover and readiness
- Participate in ongoing skills assessment and continuous professional improvement
