Schedule Options:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Shifts: 8, 10, or 12 hours, all starting at 6am (e.g., five 8-hour, four 10-hour, or three 12-hour days per week)
  • Block scheduling available
  • On-call required: 48 hours per 6-week schedule, including one weekend per month
  • 13-week contract starting May 18, 2026

This role involves acting as a leader in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will apply the full scope of the nursing process to patient care, supporting both patients and their families, and collaborating with an expert healthcare team. This position provides valuable opportunities to broaden your CVOR experience, allowing exposure to innovative approaches and advanced cardiovascular surgical practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan RN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • CVOR experience, including cardiac scrub proficiency
  • Operating Room nursing background
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to commit to the full assignment and on-call requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of perioperative care in the CVOR
  • Utilize assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient care
  • Delegate, supervise, and document patient and family teaching
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical and healthcare teams
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement and patient care solutions
