Travel CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Utica, New York

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: Two 10-hour shifts per week
• On-call: Up to 7 days per four-week period, including one full weekend
• Length: 13 weeks

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (associate degree or higher)
• Current New York State RN license
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Previous experience in CVOR
• Comfort with adult patient population
• Proficient with EPIC and Omnicell
• Willingness to float if census is low

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based perioperative care for cardiovascular surgical patients
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow RNs in a high-acuity environment
• Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in a unit with 2 dedicated CVOR beds
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in emergent situations, caring for common diagnoses such as CAD, AS, and MR
• Accurately document procedures, medications, and assessments within EPIC
• Uphold strict safety and infection control standards
