Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience, with strong CVOR background preferred
  • Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating during cardiovascular surgical procedures
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and coordinate effectively with surgical, anesthesia, and support teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, competent care before, during, and after CVOR procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to carry out highly technical cardiovascular interventions
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor sterile field for complex surgical cases
  • Monitor patients’ status and respond to changes throughout the surgical process
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of perioperative activities and responses
  • Advocate for patient safety, rights, and well-being at all times
