Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license in NC or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and protocols
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during cardiovascular OR procedures
• Circulate and scrub for open-heart and vascular cases
• Monitor patient status, document care, and respond to emergencies swiftly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain sterility, manage equipment, and ensure adherence to best practices
• Educate patients and families regarding care pre- and post-surgery
