Registered Nurse - Endoscopy in Corning, NY

Experience the dynamic environment of a specialized Endoscopy/GI Lab, providing exceptional care as part of an expert nursing team. This contract role focuses on supporting patients through diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures while adhering to top clinical standards.

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour day shifts per week

Qualifications:

• Current RN license, limited permit, or eligibility for licensure in New York State
• Previous experience in Endoscopy, GI Lab, or comparable acute care settings strongly preferred
• Excellent clinical assessment skills and proficiency with the nursing process
• Exceptional communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to manage physiologic, psychological, and cognitive care for diverse patient populations
• Comfortable with physical demands of patient movement and long periods on your feet
• Confident responding to emergency situations and following strict safety protocols
• Understanding of legal considerations and ethical decision-making in patient care
• Commitment to professional development and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Systematically assess and document the status of patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
• Analyze patient data, develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Deliver consistent, knowledgeable nursing care and implement physician orders
• Participate in staff development and interdisciplinary teamwork activities
• Prioritize care based on patient needs and available resources
• Demonstrate competency with specialized equipment, instrumentation, and infection control
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and advocate for patient rights
• Remain current on best practices and emerging research relevant to Endoscopy nursing
