Deliver exceptional patient care and utilize your specialized nursing skills in a dynamic endoscopy/GI lab setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse seeking meaningful work in an innovative and collaborative healthcare environment.
Schedule:
- 5x8 hour shifts
- Daytime hours
Qualifications:
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license or eligibility (limited permit accepted)
- Demonstrated experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and concise documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven knowledge of best practices in patient safety and infection control
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and ongoing patient assessments with focus on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status
- Analyze data and develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes
- Deliver compassionate and knowledgeable patient care according to established endoscopy standards and nursing protocols
- Document all care accurately and efficiently in patient records and unit documentation
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, maintaining composure and following clinical protocols
- Evaluate care effectiveness, participate in quality improvement, and adjust plans as necessary
- Maintain awareness of legal and ethical issues, adhering to current policies and guidelines
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to staff education initiatives
- Support a safe and positive patient experience, demonstrating sensitivity to patient rights and needs
Physical Demands:
- Regular lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving patients
- Significant time on your feet, with some reaching and stooping required
- Exposure to blood/body fluids, adhering to appropriate safety precautions
