Registered Nurse - Endoscopy in Horseheads, NY

Take your nursing expertise to the next level by supporting patients in a specialized Endoscopy/GI Lab setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse who thrives on providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative clinical environment. Schedule:

• Five 8-hour shifts per week (days)

Qualifications:

• Current NYS RN licensure, limited permit, or eligibility
• Previous experience in Endoscopy and/or GI Lab highly preferred
• Proficient assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong physical stamina to support patient lifting, movement, and extended periods of standing
• Excellent critical thinking and situational awareness, especially in emergency scenarios

Core Responsibilities:

• Complete ongoing, systematic nursing assessments focusing on patients’ physiological, psychological, and cognitive status
• Analyze assessment data to plan and deliver individualized, goal-focused care
• Accurately document all aspects of nursing care in a timely manner
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, applying established protocols
• Ensure all care meets institutional standards and upholds patients’ rights and dignity
• Contribute to staff development and promote continual quality improvement within the care unit
• Maintain awareness of current nursing research and integrate relevant findings into practice
• Prioritize patient needs using available resources, while demonstrating strong professional ethics and accountability
