Schedule/Hours:
- 5x8 hour shifts
- Daytime hours
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in New York State, limited permit, or eligibility required
- Demonstrated experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab nursing
- Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
- Professional, accountable, and able to provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations
- Able to lift, pull, push, and move patients of varying sizes and abilities; frequent standing and physical activity required
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Committed to ethical, patient-centered decision making and confidentiality
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform ongoing assessment and systematic data collection for assigned patients
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team as needed
- Administer nursing care in a consistent, skillful, and evidence-based manner
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely fashion
- Recognize and act on emergency situations according to established protocols
- Provide age-appropriate care and respect the rights and dignity of all patients and their significant others
- Participate in unit and organizational development activities, remaining informed of current research and best practices
- Prioritize patient care needs based on clinical urgency and available resources
- Adhere to institutional policies, legal guidelines, and standards of care
