Registered Nurse - Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab in Chesapeake, VA

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse who excels in Electrophysiology (EP), the Cath Lab, and EP Lab settings. Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, EP Lab, or similar cardiac nursing roles
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong knowledge of electrophysiology procedures, cardiac device implantation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills
• Experience with conscious sedation, scrub, and circulation duties strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during EP and Cath Lab procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and care throughout
• Monitor, record, and interpret vital signs and cardiac rhythms during invasive cardiac procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions according to established protocols
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and support to patients and families
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality care plans
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
