Qualifications and Experience:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Electrophysiology or EP Lab setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias, ablation, device implants, and diagnostic monitoring
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with EP equipment and procedural protocols
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills to thrive in fast-paced situations
- Ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary care team
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver thorough pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care for EP Lab patients
- Assist with invasive cardiac procedures, including ablations and device implantations
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to patient needs
- Administer medication, manage IVs, and maintain procedural documentation
- Educate patients and their families regarding expectations, follow-up care, and recovery instructions
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety and infection control guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other nurses to ensure comprehensive care
