An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Electrophysiology (EP) to contribute expertise in an EP Lab setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the care and monitoring of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures. This contract role is well-suited for individuals with strong EP nursing skills who thrive in dynamic procedural environments.
Schedule:
- Full-time contract position
- 40 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an EP Lab setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing invasive cardiac procedures and technologies
- Ability to provide detailed patient monitoring throughout EP studies and ablations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with physicians and procedural teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare EP Lab and assist with electrophysiology procedures, including device implantation and ablations
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Administer medications and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and discharge instructions
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient environment for high-acuity cardiac patients
