Registered Nurse - Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab in Norfolk, VA

Exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses with expertise in Electrophysiology (EP) to support an EP Lab in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role requires a skilled RN to provide specialized care to patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure top-notch clinical outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with current standing
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an EP Lab or similar cardiac specialty setting
• Strong working knowledge of EP procedures, including ablations, device placement, and cardiac mapping
• Proficiency in monitoring patients, administering medications, and assisting physicians during complex interventions
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Schedule:

• Full-time hours guaranteed, typically 40 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after EP lab procedures
• Administer medications, moderate sedation, and IV therapy under protocol
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through pre-op, intraprocedure, and recovery phases
• Support physicians and technologists with equipment setup, procedural needs, and emergency interventions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
• Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes

This contract role offers weekly pay between $3,000 and $3,300, representing hourly wages based on a 40-hour workweek and applicable expense reimbursement for eligible candidates.
