Registered Nurse - Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab in Portsmouth, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with good standing
• Minimum of two years’ recent experience in an EP Lab environment
• Proficient with EP procedures, including catheter ablation, device implantation, and electrophysiology studies
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases for EP patients
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry and ECG rhythms, and respond to urgent situations quickly
• Prepare and maintain EP Lab equipment, ensuring sterilization and readiness
• Provide clear education and instructions to patients and families about procedures and post-care expectations
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
