Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – EP Lab for a hospital assignment in Rochester, New York. This role is ideal for an RN with strong electrophysiology experience who is comfortable assisting with complex cardiac procedures, working in a procedural environment, and collaborating closely with physicians, anesthesia, and the EP team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with EP procedures including ablations, device implants, and structural heart procedures.
- Serve as the circulator in the EP Lab, assisting with sterile field preparation and equipment setup.
- Provide patient-focused care while assisting anesthesia and documenting procedures.
- Maintain fluids for ablation catheters and assist with ablation systems.
- Provide backup pacing support during device implant procedures.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, vendors, and procedural staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with room turnover and timely procedure starts.
- Document all procedures using Epic EMR.

- Device implants:
- Pacemakers (single, dual, CSP, BiV CSP)

- Subcutaneous ICDs
- Leadless pacemakers
- Loop recorders
- Structural Heart:
- Watchman
- Amulet
- HRE procedures: Laser and low-risk cases
Equipment & Technology
- Epic EMR required
- GE Mac-Lab/CardioLab experience preferred
- Mapping systems:
- Biosense Webster CARTO
- Abbott EnSite/Precision
- Rhythmia
Requirements
- Active New York RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- EP Lab experience required
- Proficient in moderate sedation
- BLS – American Heart Association required
Preferred Experience
- Cardiac implant experience
- Structural Heart scrub experience
- CardioLab/GE Mac-Lab experience
