Step into a dynamic emergency department providing comprehensive care to patients across all age groups. This 8-week assignment offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a non-trauma designated facility currently moving toward trauma designation and best practice improvements. Experience working with a diverse range of conditions, including DKA, COPD, stroke, chest and abdominal pain, and psychiatric cases, while collaborating with a motivated team under evolving leadership and shared governance.
Schedule:
- Night shifts, 3 x 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required (Friday–Sunday)
- No block scheduling
- No on-call requirements
- Position includes floating, including possible COVID unit assignments
Qualifications:
- Active, in-hand state RN license (GA or compact)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an RN in an emergency department
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, NIH, and TNCC (TNCC must be in-hand upon submission)
- Proficient in EPIC charting
- Willingness to float as needed
- Acceptance of patient ratios: 1:4
- Agreement to every other weekend rotations
Preferred Experience:
- Prior work in a Level I Trauma Center
- Experience with ventilated patients
- Triage expertise
- Prior travel nurse experience is valued, but motivated first-time travelers are welcomed
