Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Adel, GA

Step into an essential nursing role within a busy emergency department, providing skilled and compassionate care to patients of all ages. This contract position offers the opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic, non-trauma-designated facility currently pursuing trauma designation and implementing leadership best practices. You will play a vital role in a collaborative team environment, contributing to high standards of care during every shift.

Schedule:

• 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• every other weekend required (Friday–Sunday)
• No block scheduling
• On-call coverage not required
• Potential to float to the COVID unit

Qualifications:

• Active, in-hand RN license for Georgia or compact state
• TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, and CPI certifications (all required and current)
• Minimum two years’ emergency room experience
• Proficiency with EPIC charting systems
• Ability to manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Experience in Level I trauma, ventilated patient care, and triage preferred
• Open to first-time travelers, with past travel experience valued

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to a broad population, including patients with stroke, chest pain, DKA, COPD, abdominal complaints, and psychiatric emergencies
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure best patient outcomes
• Remain adaptable to leadership changes and evolving unit protocols
• Float as needed, including coverage for COVID care
