Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Apex, North Carolina

This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN with a strong background in emergency nursing and a passion for fast-paced environments. Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week assignment starting 9/21/26
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active NC or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• EPIC charting proficiency
• Not open to first-time travelers; candidates must have prior travel or contracting experience
• Local nurses (within 75 miles) considered at a local rate
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Confidence managing a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate and effective care to patients with urgent and emergent needs
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with protocols
• Document care and interventions accurately using EPIC
• Support a positive patient and family experience during high-stress situations
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and safety initiatives

$1,800 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
