(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Arcata, California

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Emergency Services nursing leader to support emergency department operations on a contract basis. The ideal candidate is well-versed in clinical ER care and has proven management expertise.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week, guaranteed

Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Five or more years of experience in an emergency room (ER) setting
• Minimum of two years in an ER management or supervisory role
• Recent (within 12 months) TB clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the emergency department, ensuring high standards for patient care and safety
• Lead, mentor, and support clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Manage departmental resources, schedules, and workflows to optimize performance and patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations and policies
• Facilitate communication between medical staff, patients, and families for optimal service delivery
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices within the department
