Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Arvada, CO

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Emergency Room care to support a high-acuity department. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in delivering immediate, critical care while fostering patient trust and ensuring safety. Adapt your clinical knowledge to the diverse needs of ER patients and work alongside a dynamic interdisciplinary team.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Thorough understanding of ER protocols, triage processes, and emergency interventions
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to remain calm in fast-paced, high-stress situations
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems

Primary Responsibilities:

• Rapidly assess and triage incoming patients based on their acuity
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for a wide range of emergent medical issues
• Administer medications, IVs, and emergency treatments as directed by providers
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, lab results, and treatment responses
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the ER team to create and implement patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and professionalism
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control protocols, and best practices for patient safety
