Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Asheville, NC

Work with a nationally recognized emergency department known for clinical excellence and a spirit of collaboration. Seeking a dedicated RN with strong experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care to join a high-acuity emergency unit for a contract role. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced situations and are eager to serve a diverse, multi-cultural patient population.

Schedule:

• 3 night shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Flexible to cover all sections within the emergency department

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS certifications (CPI required by hire date)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year in the ER and experience in a Level II trauma or comprehensive stroke center/high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Ability to coach and collaborate with team members in real time
• Experience with Cerner documentation preferred
• Navy scrubs required per dress code

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient-centered care for both adult and pediatric emergencies
• Perform advanced emergency procedures as appropriate to unit needs
• Update and communicate with patients and families using AIDET and best patient experience practices
• Remain open to floating among all sections within the department (no floating outside the ED)
• Collaborate within a highly skilled team including techs, unit clerks, and specialists

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
