Emergency Room Nurse (RN) - Augusta, GA

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department on a night shift schedule. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of an interdisciplinary care team, emphasizing evidence-based practice, teamwork, and professional development. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing process activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver tailored clinical care.
• Collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare team members to establish effective communication, bedside reporting, and patient education.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary rounds and promote a culture of teamwork and inclusiveness.
• Support and engage in performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based research, and shared governance activities.
• Maintain clinical competencies through mandatory education, certifications, and precepting others.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety goals.
• Manage efficient use of materials and resources, contributing to protocol development as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in good standing, including Multi-state Compact if applicable.
• Certifications required upon hire: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (with provisional completion timelines as applicable).
• Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• Strong English communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced setting with decision-making under pressure.
• Proficient in the use of clinical technologies and electronic documentation.

Schedule:

• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Must be available for varied shifts throughout the week.
• On-call responsibilities: two 24-hour calls every eight weeks.
• Weekend work required at least every other weekend.
• Minimum holiday coverage includes two major and two minor holidays.
