Step into a dynamic Emergency Department role as an RN, where your nursing expertise will support patient-centered care and drive quality clinical outcomes. Working within an interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to a culture of service excellence, safety, and evidence-based practice. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced ER nurses or new graduates eager to develop in a high-acuity environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Must be flexible to work varying days of the week
  • On-call: Two 24-hour shifts every 8 weeks
  • Weekends: Minimum every other weekend
  • Holidays: Minimum of two major and two minor holidays

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Associate degree or diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Current, active RN license (GA single-state or Multi-State Compact)
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • ACLS certification required, or must obtain within 180 days
  • PALS certification, or ability to obtain within 180 days
  • TNCC (or equivalent) required within 18 months
  • Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience accepted; ER experience preferred
  • Proficiency in English with strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills
  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and ability to remain composed in emergencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
  • Ensure safe, high-quality care tailored to individual patient needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Complete timely documentation and uphold professional standards
  • Serve as a mentor or preceptor to peers, supporting ongoing learning and development
  • Actively participate in performance improvement and shared governance initiatives
  • Support efficient use of resources and compliance with policies and standards
