Schedule:
- Night shift: 7:00pm – 7:00am
- On-call: Two 24-hour calls during each 8-week assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered emergency care using the full nursing process.
- Collaborate closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
- Utilize strong critical thinking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete documentation with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Mentor and support fellow nurses, contributing to both daily practice and long-term unit improvement.
- Participate in ongoing education, performance improvement initiatives, and shared governance activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
- PALS and TNCC (or equivalent) must be obtained within prescribed timelines
- Emergency department experience and direct patient care preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
