Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Boston, MA

Deliver exceptional patient care and support in a dynamic emergency department environment. Experienced RNs seeking a contract assignment will have the opportunity to utilize their critical thinking, quick assessment, and compassionate care skills. This role requires adaptability as you rotate between night and day shifts, providing vital support in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule:

• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• 4-week rotation: Nights followed by 4 weeks of days (or the reverse depending on facility needs)
• Shift start options: 4/6 or 4/20

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred
• Strong triage, assessment, and critical decision-making skills
• Experience handling high-stress situations and trauma cases
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical scenarios

Responsibilities:

• Conduct rapid assessments of ER patients and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with emergency physicians and healthcare professionals to develop care plans
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient progress, recognize changes, and respond swiftly to emergencies
• Document all care and observations with clarity and accuracy
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful situations
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital protocols
