Schedule/Hours
- Full time: Nights, 7PM – 7AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call duties
- No floating between units
Key Requirements
- Active RN license in state of employment or compact
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications, all required from AHA
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least one year of experience in a related ED/ER nursing specialty preferred
Position Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for high-acuity cases using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Collaborate with patients and families to address complex psychological, emotional, and social needs
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring effectiveness and side effects
- Maintain meticulous documentation of care, symptoms, history, and interventions
- Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs
- Participate in ongoing competency and skills validation, including orientation, annual requirements, and emergency department-specific training
- Appropriately delegate and manage care, supporting a collaborative clinical environment
