Travel Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Boyce, LA

Schedule/Hours

• Full time: Nights, 7PM – 7AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• No floating between units

Key Requirements

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications, all required from AHA
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• At least one year of experience in a related ED/ER nursing specialty preferred

Position Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for high-acuity cases using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Collaborate with patients and families to address complex psychological, emotional, and social needs
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring effectiveness and side effects
• Maintain meticulous documentation of care, symptoms, history, and interventions
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs
• Participate in ongoing competency and skills validation, including orientation, annual requirements, and emergency department-specific training
• Appropriately delegate and manage care, supporting a collaborative clinical environment
