Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Bristol, CT

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with proven expertise in Emergency Room (ER) nursing to provide compassionate, high-level care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity offers a structured daytime schedule and requires flexibility for call rotations.

Schedule:

• Day shifts available: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Call rotation includes:
  • One weekday (3:30 PM – 7:00 PM)
  • One weekend every 4 weeks (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing (RN-ER)
• Valid NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills
• Proficient in rapid, accurate patient triage and prioritization
• Ability to respond effectively under pressure and during emergencies
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Compliance with all facility policies, protocols, and professional standards

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the ER, ensuring safe and effective treatment for acute and emergent conditions
• Perform triage, monitor patient status, and administer prescribed treatments and medications
• Collaborate closely with providers and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in the health record
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Participate in call rotation as required for continuous patient coverage
