Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Burnsville, MN

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Emergency Room care for a 13-week contract assignment. This position calls for adaptability, clinical excellence, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, each shift is 12 hours
• Variable scheduling to meet department demands

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Minnesota RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Strong critical thinking, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ER patients, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for diverse patient populations
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, triage patients based on acuity, and deliver high-quality care under pressure
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families
• Adhere to facility protocols and standards, ensuring a strong focus on patient safety and satisfaction
