Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Canandaigua, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Proven experience in an emergency room setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to quickly assess patient needs and respond appropriately

• Proficiency in electronic health records and ER protocols
• Adaptability and composure in fast-paced, high-pressure situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and urgent conditions
• Triage patients, monitor vital signs, and promptly identify changes in patient status
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency interventions as necessary
• Communicate clearly with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessments and care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, post-discharge care, and medication instructions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the patient care process
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control standards
