Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Candler, NC

This contract opportunity calls for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in both adult and pediatric emergency care. You’ll join a collaborative team, support the region’s only Level II trauma center, and play a key part in life-saving interventions in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Every other weekend required
• No block scheduling; schedule must align with department needs

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid RN license with minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience
• At least 1 year of direct ER nursing experience, ideally in a Level II trauma center or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits annually)
• Strong background in both adult and pediatric emergency care
• Required certifications active prior to submitting application: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC; CPI required before hire date
• Team-oriented approach and flexibility to float within all ED sections (no floating outside the department)
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional patient experience and respectful, clear communication

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, compassionate nursing care to diverse populations, including pediatric patients
• Perform advanced procedures appropriate to emergency settings
• Utilize Cerner for electronic documentation
• Liaise closely with techs and unit clerks, adapting to multiple roles within the department
• Coach colleagues in real time and foster a positive, supportive work culture
• Maintain up-to-date patient information and participate in continuous patient status updates

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
