(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Carrollton, Virginia

Deliver high-quality emergency care as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, working on a contract assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role demands clinical expertise, composure in fast-paced situations, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage in the emergency department
• Deliver prompt, evidence-based nursing interventions for a diverse patient population
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal care
• Document all interventions, observations, and changes in patient condition accurately
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, procedures, and care plans
• Participate in rapid response and resuscitation efforts as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an emergency department
• Advanced clinical skills in managing acute and critical care scenarios
• BLS and ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-pressure environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records systems
