Registered Nurse - Emergency Room in Cary, NC

An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses eager to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment. Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week contract
• Night shifts: 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (all required)
• Active NC or Compact RN license at the time of application
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting
• Must be comfortable caring for a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Local applicants considered if within 75 miles (adjusted rate)
• Not accepting first-time travelers for this assignment

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting
• Triage, assess, and manage acute patients across the lifespan
• Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document all patient interactions and care in EPIC
• Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and emergency protocols
• Adapt quickly to changes in patient acuity and department needs
• Support safe discharge or admission planning for patients

$1,800 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
