(RN) Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Chapel Hill, North Carolina

We’re seeking an experienced RN with a strong emergency room background for a 13-week contract assignment starting September 21, 2026. This position involves working night shifts, providing lifesaving care to patients in critical situations, and contributing to a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule:

• 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call obligations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room (ER) nursing experience
• Active NC or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system is required
• Not open to new graduates or first-time travelers

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse ER patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Assess, triage, and manage acute patient conditions swiftly and accurately
• Adhere to established protocols in both routine and urgent scenarios
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary staff
• Document care thoroughly using EPIC EMR

$1,800 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
