An experienced Registered Nurse is needed for a dynamic emergency department team. This contract opportunity calls for those who thrive under pressure and are committed to delivering top-tier patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Orientation offered only on 7/13, 7/20, or 7/27
  • Weekends and holidays are required

Qualifications:

  • Active Tennessee or Multistate RN license (required at time of submission)
  • 2+ years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
  • Experience using Cerner electronic medical records is highly preferred
  • Ability to work with all age groups in a general population setting
  • Must be comfortable with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
  • Navy scrubs required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 44-bed emergency department within a 270-bed hospital
  • Collaborate efficiently with interdisciplinary teams to rapidly assess and stabilize patients
  • Accurately document care using Cerner EMR
  • Respond to urgent medical situations, utilizing established protocols for trauma, cardiac events, pediatric, and adult emergencies
  • Maintain compassionate, patient-focused care while managing competing priorities
