A critical access emergency department seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in adult and pediatric ER care for an immediate opening. This role is ideal for a dynamic and skilled RN ready to thrive under pressure in a 9-bed, Trauma Level IV department. You’ll play an essential part in supporting a high-demand team and providing compassionate, rapid-response care to diverse patient populations.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3x12 hour shifts per week
- Night shifts
- Variable days, including weekends and possible holidays
- 36 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 3-4 years of emergency department nursing experience
- At least two completed traveling contracts
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (or willingness to obtain any missing certifications promptly)
- Proficient in caring for both adult and pediatric ED patients
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple urgent situations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages in an emergency setting
- Triage, assess, and prioritize patients according to acuity
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team for effective, timely interventions
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications and treatments, and respond to critical changes
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental protocols
- Assist with trauma care as required by Trauma Level IV guidelines
