Experienced emergency room nurses are invited to contribute their expertise and dedication in a high-impact, dynamic setting. This contract opportunity is aimed at professionals skilled in critical care, ready to manage rapid patient assessments and interventions within top-tier emergency departments.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts (0700 - 1900)
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- Expect to work 75% of holidays
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of recent emergency room experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with emergency, triage, and trauma protocols
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to float across Region 1 facilities (including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, freestanding EDs, Lake Norman, Central Division)
- Proven teamwork and effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
- Prioritize and execute life-saving interventions in accordance with established protocols
- Manage diverse patient populations with varying levels of acuity
- Accurately complete documentation and electronic charting for patient records
- Utilize advanced clinical judgment to support critical medical decisions
- Maintain readiness to float within the defined region to meet departmental needs
