An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Emergency Room care. This contract position is ideal for skilled ER nurses passionate about delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced setting. The Emergency Department features 48 treatment spaces and operates with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Key Details:
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, valid RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience working as an RN in an Emergency Room (ED/ER) setting
- Proven ability to evaluate, monitor, and manage acute and critical patient conditions
- Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with urgent and emergent health needs
- Triage patients according to acuity and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and perform procedures as permitted by license and facility guidelines
- Communicate clearly and professionally with interdisciplinary team members and families
- Document patient progress accurately in the medical record
- Adhere to safety protocols and uphold infection control best practices
